To Associate a File Name Extension With a File Type

Step 1

• Click the Folder Options in the Control Panel.

Step 2

• Click the File Types tab from the Menu Bar and click the New button.

Step 3

• Enter a new or existing file name extension, and then click the Advanced button.

• In the Associated File Type list, click New to create a new file type that is associated with the file name extension.
